I never stood out as a good eater. I liked everything plain – hold it all.
I didn’t eat meat until I was 13. I hated when different foods on my
plate touched (ew… potato juice); it basically made my mom’s life in the
kitchen a living you-know-what.
So, you can understand my predicament when my friends became hooked on Chipotle when I was a sophomore in high school. I tried to be a trooper and not let my whining get the best of me, but that burrito was nothing more than a silver lump and a spicy stomach ache to me.
Looking back, I probably should have stopped there. You see, the more I ate it, the more it grew on me. Now, six calorie filled years later, I can somewhat proudly say the employees of the Northeast Minneapolis Chipotle know me on a first name basis— and my order… chicken burrito, rice, hold the beans, tomatoes, sour cream, mucho queso and lettuce.
